Pirsonal lets you improve your brand and give your audience a seamless experience by setting up a custom CNAME (Canonical Name) for your landing pages.
This requires a manual process on your end and on our technical support team.
This option is available to Transform, Enterprise, Custom, and Premier (Legacy) plans.
In this article, you’ll learn the steps you and our team will need to take to successfully configure a custom CNAME or subdomain for Pirsonal Pages and Pirsonal Player.
You'll learn...
Step 1: Buy or Configure a Domain or Subdomain
To begin, you will need to either purchase a new domain or configure an existing one. A domain is the web address that your audience will use to access your personalized landing pages, personalized, automated or interactive videos.
Alternatively, if you prefer to use a subdomain, you can create one under your existing domain. Ensure that you have administrative access to make the necessary changes for domain configuration.
Step 2: Purchase a Valid SSL Certificate
To secure the connection between your audience and your personalized landing pages or tailored video content, it is essential to have a valid SSL certificate.
While we recommend using options other than Let’s Encrypt, such as a commercial SSL certificate, you may choose Let’s Encrypt if you are exclusively using our personalized landing pages. Please note that for security reasons we do not support Let’s Encrypt certificates for content that is going to be processed by our cloud video software.
A valid SSL certificate guarantees that your audience’s information remains encrypted and protected.
Step 3: Contact Our Support Team
- The domain or subdomain you wish to use for your personalized landing pages.
- The SSL certificate package, including any necessary files or documentation.
Step 4: Configuration by Our Tech Support Team
After contacting our support team, our expert technicians will take over the configuration process on your behalf. They’ll also share some information you’ll need to add to your CNAME or subdomain configuration.
Please allow up to 72 hours for our team to configure the custom CNAME.
During this time, we will ensure that your domain or subdomain is properly linked to your personalized landing pages while incorporating the SSL certificate for a secure browsing experience.
